This delicious traditional Dutch spice cake is perfect for those who love flavours like cinnamon, star anise, and clove! Plus, it's really quick to prepare.
Ingredients for Baking: 1 pack of Koopmans Spice Cake mix, 75 g butter or margarine (room temperature),100 ml water, 3 eggs (medium)
Preparation
- Place the rack just below the middle of the oven and preheat the oven to 160C.
- Grease the cake tin with butter and dust the inside with flour or use a baking spray.
- Beat 75 g of butter until soft and creamy in a mixing bowl using a mixer.
- Add the cake mix, 100 ml water, and 3 eggs all at once.
- Mix everything on the lowest speed for 1 minute until smooth with the mixer.
- Then, whisk the batter at the highest speed for 2 minutes until airy with the mixer.
- Pour the batter into the cake tin and bake the cake for about 60 minutes until done.
- Allow the cake to cool in the tin for 10 minutes.
- Remove the cake from the tin and let it cool on a rack.
